Groceries

I am so excited! Publix finally put Pop Tarts Buy one get One Free. I have been holding onto some pop tart coupons and have been waiting and waiting and waiting. I told the girls that I would not buy any pop tarts till they went on sale. They are going to be so excited!

This is what I picked up today at Publix for $30 dollars:

My Best Deals:

Pop Tarts for .69 a box.

The Lysol Cleaner for .60 each

Yoplait Yogurt for .90 each

Betty Crocker Supreme Brownie Mix .85 each

I did all my cooking for the week on Monday. I made two Lasagnas (one to freeze), a chicken casserole, and I prepared the chicken for enchiladas.

I also made a bunch of jelly sandwiches to put in the freezer. I just pull one out the night before school when I am packing lunches. One of my most used kitchen gadgets is my circle cutter from Pampered Chef. It cuts the sandwich and crimps the edges.

New Boots

I found these pink rain boots at a thrift store for $3.00. I knew that Claudia would love them!

Now she wants to wear them every day!

Shopping in Mom's basement

I went shopping in my mom's basement and this is what I found: She actually asked me for a trade, I must give her my green garden frog that came from my Grannie's house for the items pictured. I thought that it was a pretty fair trade (my mom has been asking for the green frog for about a year, so I know she has been wanting it bad).

The girls were very quite, I wondered what was going on in the tent???I was pleasantly surprised to find them playing Candy Land.

Our bed is a popular place. I let the girls watch TV in our room Saturday morning. Do you see OJ hanging with them too?
This is Jason asleep at 9:00 on a Friday night. We must be getting old. I joined him about 30 minutes later!Jason cooked this quail on Sunday. I actually liked it, but it was hard getting past the fact that I was eating a little bird.

Valentines

Getting Ready:
The girls enjoyed making their Valentines. Claudia wrote her name on all 17 valentines! I was so proud. We spent about an hour getting everything ready.

I took some pictures of the girls this morning in their new heart outfits.
After Claudia's class party we stopped by Nannie's room for some more candy!

The girls went through all of their valentines and ate almost all of their candy!HAPPY VALENTINES DAY!

I have a problem....

Laundry! I hate putting up laundry! I don't have a problem washing, just putting them away. I usually wait till the weekend to tackle this problem. For the girls: I dump all their clean clothes on the floor like this:

Then I have the girls sort them out into smaller piles like this:

Then we all put the clothes up together. I gave up on socks a long time ago. This is the girls sock bin:

We just throw 'em in. Every morning the girls have to go through and find a matching pair. I try to only buy one style of sock to make the matching easier.

I wonder how I let it get this bad??? I think it is safe to blame my mom. Sorry mom, but you did spoil me in the domestic department. Oh, I don't like to iron either - my mom did all my ironing too - up until the day I moved out.

Easy Blue Jean Patch

Marley is ruff on her blue jeans. I wanted to patch them, but didn't want to put that huge rectangle patch on them would scream "look, I am a big ugly patch". So I cut hearts out of the patch material and ironed them on both sides.

They turned out cute! And best of all, she loves them and wants to wear them all the time.
