My Frugal Living Room

The Shabby Nest is having her Frugal Friday Party.

My whole living room is full of thrifty treasures.

Below you will see pictures of my our new couch. We love it! It is real leather and we got it for $100 off of Craigslist. I found the best way to get a good deal off of Craigslist is to know what you are looking for and act fast!

My coffee table was $5 from Goodwill.

This table behind the couch came from the same lady as the couch, it kind-of got thrown in with the couch. It, with the small round side table (which was free from my mom), will receive a make over this summer.

I got these curtains for the front door from Goodwill. I like to close the curtains during the day to block the sun/heat.

 

I will be painting my living room this summer. I think that I am going to go with the same color as my kitchen, Oyster Bay.

Nannies cactus is blooming, our garden is growing, and Chris and Kristin got a new puppy named Olive:

Claudia got a haircut today, she is so sassy now!

Memorial Weekend

We had a very relaxing memorial weekend. We ate some good food. Hung out with friends and went to the pool twice.

Marley shot the bb gun, Jason attempted to watch the NASCAR race (on our new couch). And I cleaned out the master bedroom closet.

Yesterday Mandy and I took the kids to the park to celebrate good report cards. It started to rain so we went to Chick- Fil- A to play some more and have ice-cream. Look who we ran into:

Dining Room Tour

Kelly's Korner is hosting a "Show me where you live party". This week is Dining Rooms.

Well, If you know me, you know I am always changing things up. Well, our dining room once again is without a table. The girls needed more space, so we are converting our dining room into the "girls hang out room". They are getting their own computer, TV and couch! They are very excited about their new space!



The furniture will get a paint job once I figure out what color I want to paint it.This is our old couch. The cabinet holds all of our craft supplies and needs a major clean out!

Braves Game

We went to the ATL Braves games last night. We ate at the Varsity first:Good food: The girls had fun:Singing "Take me out to the Ball Game":

It was a good night. The weather was perfect, the Braves won, and we even ran into 4 different familes that we knew!

I think that it might be time to wear a little more bangs across my forehead. I also like the darker hair color on me too. When I do decide to get a haircut, the online makeover may help!
