I can’t believe that this weekend the temps were in the 60’s and last weekend we had snow! I guess that is GA weather for you!

Valentine’s Day
My Sweet Valentine:
We put the girls to bed early and enjoyed dinner by candle light. We had grouper, scallops and asparagus. We ended the night watching The Amazing Race (one of our favorite shows) and eating brownies.

Duck and Goose
Marley has to do a book report every month. She really wanted to use modeling clay, so this time I bought her some. She did the duck, I did the ball, and her friend did the Goose. She was so proud of it!

Off to the Market
I have been without Wheat Grass for a few weeks and I felt a cold coming on, so off to the market we went (only a 40 minute drive one way)!
I am going to try to grow my own wheat grass. I will let you know how it goes. If successful, I will safe some money!
We ended up spending 80 dollars and loaded up on organic fruits and veggies.
Several spices (which is cheap compared to grocery store prices):
The colors on the rainbow chard where beautiful, I can’t wait to eat it!
So I have to admit, I like good tasting coffee and yes, I paid 8 dollars for a pound of coffee, but it is so good!
I also got some almonds, sunflower seeds, yogurt, kefir, cheese, granola, turkey sausage, pizza crust, eggs, creamer, soup and soup mix and of course a fresh juice!

My Eyes
These are my eyes. Blood Shot and Puffy. The redness comes from my allergy to my contacts that I insist on wearing (yes, I have a confirmed allergy to them). The puffiness is inherited from my mother. Looks like I have been crying, but I haven’t.
What’s the problem with my eyes? Well, I am over having people ask me what’s wrong or if I’m ok (it happens on a weekly basis). I am glad that people care enough about me to ask, but it is getting to me (I am actually starting to get a little insecure about it). I am at the point of giving up the contacts, but I can’t get rid of the puffiness (well, I guess a plastic surgeon could). So I may go out and get a new pair of glasses and then hope know one will notice my red, puffy eyes anymore!

My Best Goodwill Deal Yet
Several kids in the neighborhood got electric scooters for Christmas. Ours did not. Our girls watched with a hint of envy as the kids rode up and down the street. Jason and I decided that we would get them one for their birthday.
Last Monday afternoon, we went to a new Goodwill store down the street (the store is awesome). I was surprised to find one of the electric scooters for $20. They are about $100 new. Marley was so excited but I was afraid it wouldn’t work. We stayed at the store for the next 30 minutes and waited for Jason to arrive to check it out. He took it outside and test drove it, it worked great.
They have rode it everyday since. I really think it was my best deal to date.

Sandy’s Birthday
We had a nice celebration last weekend for Sandy’s (Nannie) Birthday (just days before her surgery).
Isn’t this cake cool that someone from work made her? (It says 60, but kind of looks like GO).
We are so happy that she is recovering nicely from her surgery!
