Fall Leaves

The other day I was at Nannie's house doing her hair. The girls were outside playing and asked to use a rake. We went outside about 30 minutes later and this is what we saw:
I am glad that we came outside when we did because the girls were about to start jumping into their pile of leaves. That concrete sure would have hurt!

Go Mini Red Hornets

Marley's cheer team, the Hebron Mini Red Hornets, got First Place today!

Here are some more photos from the last competition where they came in 2nd place:

Lemonade Stand

What did I do on election day besides stand in line for 1.5 hours to vote? I made my kids play outside with friends so I could get some work done. At some point during the day, Katie asked me if they could make a lemonade stand. I didn't have any lemonade but I did have three boxes of Capri Sun so I told them they could have a juice box stand. They made a cute poster and even made up a cheer: "They are not just for kids, they are for parents too!"
They made 4 sales and had a great time.

Giving Thanks and New Paint

I saw this idea on another blog and had to make it too. The girls helped me. They painted the wooden blocks and Marley cut out all the leaves. I asked them to make a list of all the things they are thankful for and I wrote them on the leaves.

Goodbye yellow, hello Oyster Bay! After 8 years of a bright yellow kitchen, it was time for a change. I tested 5 different colors and decided on Oyster Bay. It is a greenish/blue/gray color. I love it.

First Post

Since I do not scrapbook anymore, I still want a way to record my memories, thoughts, and daily life - so now I am a blogger!
