Claudia's Graduation

Claudia graduated from Preschool last week. Since my camera was broke, these are the only pictures I got from mom's camera:
The program was really good. Claudia song loud and proud! The theme was "Celebrating America" and one of the songs that Claudia song was "Take me out to the Ball Game". She loved singing that song!

I only shed a few tears, mainly because her preschool years went by way to fast. I am sad that she is growing up but also happy for her. She is so ready to go to elementary school.

Year Books

This is what I have been working on for the past week: Stacks and stacks of yearbooks. The picture above is just one grade.

Kim and I got to school at 6:45 this morning to sell the extra. We are going back tomorrow morning to sale some more and tie up some loose ends:

A Long Week + Gifts

I think that this has been the longest, busiest, and most exhausting week I have ever had. End of the year parties, two preschool graduations, the arrival of the yearbooks, and meetings filled up my week.

But what makes a busy, crazy week better? Gifts!
Tracy, the teacher I work for, gave me this glass jar filled with candy (notice that the candy is almost gone):

The PTA President gave us monogrammed beach bags:
My preschool class gave us each a flower pot filled with flowers (each flower had a picture of the student with a gift card attached behind it - one student gave me Atl Braves tickets):
I was so overwhelmed by such a generous gift, the students were so sweet to me and accepting of me when I came into their room in the middle of the year - I will miss them.
Since I messed up my camera (water spilled on it during field day), I used some of the gift cards to help purchase a new camera which you can see in the picture above.
Time to go relax!

Thrift Store Shopping - a Fashion Show

Every since I was a teenager, I have loved going to Thrift stores. I vowed to only buy second hand clothing this year (Although I did buy a shirt at Walmart for for $5.00 and a new dress clearanced to $9.00).

On the last Wednesday of every month, The Value Village has 1/2 off all clothing and linens. This was my first time going on 1/2 off day and I got all pictured below for $50:

The lamp was $3.00, the purse was $2.60, I got two table clothes for $2.00 each and I even got a airplane pillow case for Isaac for 50 cents.

Onto the clothes, I got Jason 3 pairs of shorts and 2 Mossy Oak Camo shirts. A dress for the girls, sandals for Claudia, and a very nice rain poncho for Marley.

Now my main purpose of my trip was to buy some new clothes for myself. And I thought that I would have a little fashion show for you.

A black top with blue Gap shorts: Print top with a Old Navy skirt:

A women's Mossy Oak Shirt (One of my favorite finds, would have cost at least $20 new) and Gap shorts:

A Liz Claiborne Shirt and red Gap skirt:

Fresh Produce shirt (for the beach, it was only $1.15 and Claudia has a dress in the same print) and yellow Abercrombie Capris

My other favorite item: a wrap dress for $2.65 (the most expensive clothing item of the day).

New Purse for $2.60. This sweater was purchased during a previous trip and I wear it all the time (also pictured is the $5.00 shirt from Walmart):
So I went back again on 1/2 off day and got all this for $12!
3 pairs of shorts and 6 tops:

Mother's Day and a Hair Cut

I had a great mothers day (taking a picture was the hardest part of the day-this was the best one out of 10): Claudia has been fixing Jason's hair (playing beauty shop) for the past few weeks (he even got his toe nails painted). Since Claudia loved playing beauty shop so much, he let the girls cut his hair before he buzzed it all off:

I think that Claudia thought she was a professional!

They loved every minute of it!

This is what he ended up with:

Wow, Jason is brave!
