Still Here

I’m still here – just been a little busy. I started a new quarter – a full load:

I had a problem with my arm – tingling and numbness for several days, it was possibly nerve related. If it happens again, I will have to go see a neurologist.

I tried a new juice – all orange. It was really good. I can’t believe I actually liked pepper in my juice!

Now off to take a well needed nap!

Snow

I can’t believe that we were snowed in for 4 days! We finally busted out of the house and walked around the mall on the 5th day. The girls missed the whole week of school but were very well behaved!

Jason and Claudia built a very cool snowman, but the memory card is currently missing! Hoping to find it soon!

I enjoyed this lazy week, but am looking forward to getting back to our normal routine!

Hunting Camp

Marley went with Jason to hunting camp this past weekend. She loves going down there and she didn’t seem to mind the cold.

Even though they didn’t see any deer, Marley had a blast spending time with her daddy, Papa, and Uncle Jeremy.

Goals for 2011

I think that a new year provides the opportunity to start fresh with some new goals. I have two goals this year: diet and exercise (I  know, so original).

1. Exercise:

A. I want to hold a plank for 1 minute ever day (to help build up my core muscles). 6 days in, and it is getting a little easier!

B. Do push ups every day. Man style push ups! So far, 6 days in, I can only do two!

2. Diet:

Strict gluten free diet for 6 months and then evaluate how I feel.  I have flirted with a gluten free diet off and on for the last 2 years. I recently ate gluten for several days straight – and as a result, I have had some major problems.

Wish me luck! I sometimes tend to loose sight of my goals.

Get back on the train

It’s time to get back on the train! I have been eating bad since Thanksgiving – 50% healthy/50% junk and I’m over it! I am officially ready to get back on board with 90% healthy/10% junk. I would even settle for 80/20!

I started my day as usual with a Luna Bar:

I have tried eating oatmeal for breakfast, but always go back to these bars. Eventually, I would like to start eating oatmeal again and ditch the bars for good.

The girls and I had lunch at Whole Foods. I had a super foods salad and topped it with tofu and quinoa. I also had a shot of wheat grass:

After our shopping trip I came home and made a juice:

For dinner I had salmon, broccoli and a baked potato (this girl has to have her carbs):

For dessert I had a homemade granola bar:

Overall I think I did pretty good for my first day back on the train!

Off to take care of Jason, he’s sick.
